In May 2017 we signed a contract with Chapman and Hall to write a 350 - 400 page book with the title 'Spatial Regression Models for Medical Data Analysis with R-INLA'. In this book we will apply regression models, mixed effects models and GLMMs with spatial and spatial-temporal correlation. We will use areal data and geostatistical data. The expected publication date is early 2019 and the book will be authored by Alain Zuur, Elena Ieno and Anatoly Saveliev.

The format of the book will be similar to our 2009 book (with the penguins cover); the first part of the book will contain applied theory and the second part a series of case studies based on real data sets.

We will use medical, epidemiological and public health data sets (and anything that is related to this). If you would like to donate data and be involved in a case study chapter, please contact us (Dr. Alain Zuur; This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). The condition is that the data has to be public domain and fits within the scope of the book. As return favour we can offer co-authorship of a chapter, a free copy of the book, and the knowledge how to analyse the data.

This book sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! Do you have a precise date of availability yet?
